Job Description

To manage, evaluate and assess information necessary to construct the project on time, within budget and to the quality specified by the contract documents. In addition, to design and analyze temporary works designs for assigned construction projects to ensure constructability with contract documents, specifications and regulatory requirements.Bid / Tender Stage

  • Review of RFQ/RFP documents, study, analyze and suggest technical requirements for submission of the Bid document
  • Strategize the cost, BOQ with identification of sources of materials and Estimation of the projects with most value Engineering
  • Assist at all stages in the bidding to facilitate appropriate data/information submission, aiding/Technical support during the tender finalization
Preconstruction Stage
  • Assist in defining and reviewing the Project Requirement Document scope of work and schedule including phasing and interim client requirements
  • Make value engineering recommendations at the outset of the design
  • Comment on the design professional?s deliverable identifying major errors and omissions in the progress plans
  • Ensure that the most efficient and cost-effective construction means and methods are incorporated into the design
  • Prepare comprehensive constructability review of the 100% construction documents
  • Provide preconstruction input into procurement activities including scope drafting, technical assessment and site visits
  • Ensure development and execution of Construction Execution Plan, construction automation strategy, non-manual staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, and other plans and strategies to efficiently execute the project
  • Establish and implement preconstruction schedules, VDC methods, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements
  • Plan and establish procedures to ensure construction operations meet Preconstruction?s methodology
  • Develop and verify the drafting describing the methodology to be implemented
  • Participate in contracts and subcontracts administration and negotiations
  • Ensure required permits and licenses are in place prior to the start of the affected work at site
Construction stage
  • Perform constructability reviews and execute planning / phasing during project development phase
  • Coordinate all jobsite activities including actions of Nesma & Partners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and client?s representatives
  • Implement Nesma & Partner?s Environmental, Safety and Health Policy on the construction site
  • Establish and control, as required, jobsite expenditures for labor, equipment, material and services and ensure field operations are in accordance with the VDC methodology
  • Develop, implement and administer jobsite security, and coordinate the activities with corporate security department as required
  • Ensure that the operation people on site receive all useful data in form of reports, manuals, drawings
