The Chief Accountant directly reports to the finance manager, he is responsible for all account?s activities, analyzing and developing financial forecasts and strategies, helping the company?s leadership in the planning and decision making. He identifies risks and oversees his accounting team and ensures that regular reports are complying with the policies of VAT, ZATCA, and other legal authorities.Responsibilities:-Compile and analyze the financial information to prepare financial statements including daily, monthly, and annual accounts.-Verifying the accuracy of A/P outputs to ensure correct coding of vendor, cost center, general ledger account and invoice amount and processing checks requests.-Reconciling vendors? accounts and promptly researching and correcting any variances.-Responding to all subcontractors and vendors inquiries by investigating and resolving problems associated with the processing of invoices and purchase orders.-Directing daily cash operations (monitor daily cash balances, allocate and approve daily cash transactions, prepare cash forecast, etc.).-Managing current accounts and bank relations to ensure accurate maintenance of bank accounts balances.-Reviewing and driving improvements in cash management, ensuring financial obligations are met by company policies and procedures.-Issuing, supporting, and following up standby letters of credit and bank guarantees requirements.-Implementing the Closing Procedure at the year-end with all required adjustments and allocating entries, creating a percentage of the completion report, and running profit recognition report.-Preparing all audits? requirements and working closely with the audit team to acquire audited financial statements.-Participating with other teams (Procurement, Projects control, ?etc.) in implementing processes of the ERP system.-Designing and issuing regular reporting to Divisional leaders including budget variances and ahead of monthly costs.-Analyzing and interpreting financial results and forecasts (variance analysis, P&L impact)-Analyze and develop new metrics/reports, looking for trends and discrepancies.-Ensure bank reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable.-Manage the general ledger, monthly closing process, andpreparation of monthly and annually financial statements by VAT, General Authority for Zakat & Tax policies.
