Job Description

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and procuring recycled General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) and Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) materials. This role focuses on building supplier relationships, ensuring consistent material supply, and negotiating favorable terms to support the company?s operations and sustainability goals.Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sourcing and Procurement:
  • Identify reliable suppliers of recycled GPPS and EPS materials.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Place and manage purchase orders to ensure timely material delivery.
  1. Supplier Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and compliance.
  • Resolve issues related to material quality or delivery delays promptly.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Ensure that recycled GPPS and EPS materials meet company quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and rectify quality concerns.
  1. Market Research:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, pricing changes, and market developments.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize sourcing strategies.
  1. Inventory Coordination:
  • Work closely with the warehouse and production teams to manage inventory levels.
  • Plan material purchases to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and procurement activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement performance and market updates.
