Job Description

Job Purpose:As a Business Development Specialist, you are responsible for handling proposal activities and providing technical support for ongoing Software Projects, including providing designs and/or recommended solutions, and fulfilling all the technical support needs of the sales and operations team. You will provide suggested pricing based on the price list of the suppliers and expected competition.Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand customers diverse and specific business needs and propose Software solutions to meet those needs.
  • Work on deals assigned to the sales team, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit, or as directed by the Lead Pre-sales /Business Development Manager.
  • Receive the Request for Proposal (RFP) from the sales team and prepare the technical write-up and the costing of the proposed solution.
  • Receive assistance from development consultants and technical/functional staff in filling compliance sheets (if required).
  • Provide the technical solution required to address any customer requirements, and recommend solutions that optimize value for the customer.
  • Ensure review of the technical aspect of the project implementation plan prepared by the project managers, and ensure it is achievable and is within the set time frame.
  • Assist in educating the Account Management Team on the basic technicalities and functionality of new offerings to guide them in identifying leads within the assigned sectors.
  • Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both the needs of the client and those of Solutions.
  • Maintain awareness and keep up-to-date with constantly changing software and hardware systems and peripherals.
  • Communicate with sales, project management and technical teams to gather insights and information on different aspects, such as clients needs and projects challenges, which can be an added value to the offerings portfolio or changes in the proposal.
  • Respond to tender documents, and write proposals, reports, and other supporting paperwork.
  • Calculate client quotations and administer clients accounts.
  • Perform any other assigned tasks as required by the direct manager / Management.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field in Software.
  • Experience: 1-3 years experience in IT Software Development or in Pre-Sales.
  • Languages: Proficient in Arabic & English.
