SummaryResponsible for provision of medical care in the field of Pediatric Urology in accordance with current medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and the Hospitals policies and procedures.Essential Responsibilities and DutiesClinical ResponsibilitiesParticipates in the dutiesnecessary for the efficient handling and reporting of all examinations.Establishes and maintainsdiagnostic services in assigned Pediatric Urologyin coordination with Section Head.Communicates with cliniciansand participates in their rounds and conferences.Assists the patients primaryphysician regarding test utilization and interpretation.Ensures highverifiesall quality controland proficiency testing and prepare for laboratory inspection.Monitors performance standardsincluding quality assurance, quality control and troubleshooting.Provides optimal support ofpatient care.Academic ResponsibilitiesDirects and advices juniorphysicians on patient management, especially in the area ofPediatric Urology.Guides and actively assists inthe training and teaching of Fellows and Residents in the area of Pediatric Urology.Keeps abreast with all thelatest techniques and developments, especially in the area of specialization, followingand implementing them on a selective basis to improve technical standards.Actively participates in theeducational activities and training programs of the department.Participates in national andinternational medical conferences.Research ResponsibilitiesParticipates in clinical orbasic and educational research projects in area of specialization in order toadvance knowledge, improve the quality of postgraduate education and contributeto the national and international recognition of the Hospital.EducationGraduation from an accreditedmedical school acceptable to the Hospital.Experience RequiredFive (5) years oftraining in specialty and subspecialty plus post-training experience isrequired.Other Requirements(Certificates)N/A.
