SummaryResponsible for provision of medical care in the field of Pediatric Endocrinology, in accordance with current medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and the Hospitals policies and procedures.Essential Responsibilities and DutiesClinical Responsibilities1- Participates in the duties necessary for the efficient handling and reporting of all examinations.2- Establishes and maintains diagnostic services in assigned Pediatric Endocrinology in coordination with Section Head or Chairman.3- Communicates with clinicians and participates in their rounds and conferences.4- Assists the patients primary physician regarding test utilization and interpretation. 5- Ensures high levels of employee and patient safety. 6- Verifies all quality control and proficiency testing and prepare for laboratory inspection.7- Monitors performance standards including quality assurance, quality control and troubleshooting.8- Provides optimal support of patient care.Academic Responsibilities1-Directs and advices junior physicians on patient management, especially in the area of Pediatric Endocrinolo2-Guides and actively assists in the training and teaching of Fellows and Residents in area of Pediatric Endocrinolo3-Keeps abreast with all the latest techniques and developments, especially in area of Pediatric Endocrinology, following and implementin them on a selective basis to improve technical standards. Actively participates in the educational activities and training programs of the department.4-Participates in national and international medical conferences.EducationGraduation from an accredited medical school acceptable to KFSH&RC.Experience RequiredFive (5) years of training in specialty and subspecialty plus post-training experience required.Other Requirements(Certificates)N/A
