*Job DescriptionThe Assistant Store Managerassists the Store Manager in motivating and inspiring their team to achievestore productivity goals. They help the Store Manager to analyze week todate, period to date, and year to date sales, and develop action plans todrive top line sales.Key Accountabilities:FinancialsAchievethe sales targets for the storeMonitor and control expenses (overtime, local, stockand consumables) through efficient store operationsInterpret and act on operational profit and salesreports generated and focus on improving under-performing areasMonitor sales performance against last year, lastweek and budget on a daily and weekly basis and to give feedback to managers andto communicate to staff.ProcessEnsure accurate stock merchandise and management (stock ageing, stockloss, space management) within the store as per company normsOversee and monitor all point of sales activities in the store whichincludes - sales transactions, tracking customer orders and payments,registering sale and maintaining inventory updates, providing service,handling returns and refunds, gathering consumer data for feedbackOversee cash transaction entry and management (petty cash, pos cashelements, change floats)Regularly audit own store administration and inform the management incase of discrepancyDevelop an understanding of commercial environment, local tradingpatterns, competitor activity and market trends in the retail sector andtheir impact on store.Ensure highest standards of visual appearance throughout the storeincluding all non-retail areasPrepare and review store reports on sales, commercial profit and stockageing (slow moving, fast moving and non-moving items)CustomerEffective resource planning for customer serviceEnsure customer needs are met and complaints/queries are resolved in atimely mannerSupport in providing mystery shopping feedback and prepare action planfor improvementKnowledge, Skills & ExperienceEducationSpecialist Training Graduate/ Post-graduate degree in BusinessAdministration with specialization in MarketingLanguageEnglish MandatoryArabic Beginner / intermediateJob ExperienceSpecific / Relevant Experience 3-5 years in retail industry headingone complete section/departmentTechnologyBasic MS office, Excel and PPTOthersResult orientationTeamwork &collaborationReport writingskills and leadership skills.Customerservice orientation
