An Analyzer Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting process analyzers and instrumentation systems in industrial environments. These engineers ensure the accuracy and reliability of process analyzers to optimize operations, maintain safety, and comply with regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Design & Implementation:Develop and implement analyzer systems for gas, liquid, and environmental monitoring.Select appropriate analytical instruments based on process requirements.Work with engineering teams to integrate analyzers into control systems.Maintenance & Troubleshooting:Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of process analyzers.Diagnose and resolve issues related to instrumentation and analyzers.Ensure analyzers function correctly to maintain process efficiency.Compliance & Safety:Ensure all analyzer systems comply with industry standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISA).Maintain documentation for inspections, calibrations, and audits.Implement safety procedures and guidelines for handling hazardous materials.Process Optimization & Quality Control:Analyze data from process analyzers to improve operational efficiency.Collaborate with production teams to enhance product quality and minimize waste.Support R&D in developing new analytical techniques for process improvements.Project Management & Training:Lead projects related to the installation and upgrade of analyzer systems.Provide technical training to operators and maintenance personnel.Work closely with vendors and suppliers for equipment procurement and technical support.Required Skills & Qualifications:Education: Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Experience: 3+ years of experience in process analyzers, instrumentation, or automation systems in industries like oil & gas, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing.Technical Skills:Knowledge of gas chromatography (GC), mass spectrometry (MS), infrared (IR), and other analytical instruments.Experience with PLC/DCS systems and industrial communication protocols.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Soft Skills:Strong analytical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.Certifications (Preferred): ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) or similar.
