Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: 1. Grows and develops assigned portfolio/segment.2. Meets the annual sales target of assigned portfolio/segment (in terms of sales amount and/or number of accounts).3. Creates business plans and go-to-market strategies to capture potential markets and develop channels of distribution for Motorcycle products, as per assigned portfolio/segment.4. Conducts competitive intelligence and relays relevant findings to the Motorcycle Accounts Acquisition & Servicing Head in a timely and appropriate manner.5. Complies with the metrics and reports needed to monitor and measure the performance of Motorcycle Accounts Acquisition & Servicing team.6. Participates in the planning exercise and budget preparation of Motorcycle Accounts Acquisition & Servicing team.UNDERWRITING AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT:1. Performs due diligence by conducting risk assessment and evaluating and reviewing the profitability of new programs, markets, and channels of distribution, as per assigned Motorcycle portfolio/segment. 2. Recommends the rates and pricing of new programs, markets, and channels of distribution, as per assigned Motorcycle portfolio/segment, to the Motorcycle Accounts Acquisition & Servicing Head.3. Ensures that the premium rates and pricing of new products/programs, as per assigned Motorcycle portfolio/segment, are competitive and at the same time make business sense.4. Complies with the underwriting guidelines of Motorcycle products and programs and consults stakeholders and subject matter experts should there be any deviation from any of the said standards.ACCOUNTS ACQUISITION:1. Identifies, pursues, and develops potential markets, partners, and channels of distribution for Motorcycle products, as per assigned portfolio/segment.2. Works closely with Motorcycle Trade & Digital Marketing in creating strategies to effectively market and promote Motorcycle products via trade/brick-and-mortar and online channels.3.Creates and presents proposals and programs to potential markets, partners, and channels of distribution of Motorcycle products, as per assigned portfolio/segment, and negotiates as necessary.4. Closes deals with partners and channels of distribution by securing agreement/approval/conforme to proposals submitted.5. Observes and complies with Motorcycles standard process, documentary requirements, and turnaround time in on-boarding new accounts and launching new programs, and coordinates with stakeholders and subject matter experts within the organization should there be any deviation from any of the said standards.Qualifications:

  • Graduate of bachelors degree course preferably business administration or management.
  • Min. of 3 years in Motor insurance sales
  • Min. of 3 years in accounts acquisition/pursuing new accounts in the context of Motor insurance sales
  • Min. of 3 years of sales fieldwork
  • Background in Marketing is preferred.
