Transport Planner Manama , BahrainJob SummaryThe Transport planner will be working under the Senior Transport Planner or the Team Leader Transport Planner for various Traffic studies project in Bahrain. The Transport Planner will be responsible for preparation of study, preparation of reports, QA/QC etc.The position of Transport planner involves :The ability to prepare Transport Notes, Statements and Reports and Site Access Appraisals.An understanding of relevant Bahrain TIA, Parking guidelines and BRDM standardDuties and Responsibilities include but not limited to :Using prescribed methods and under direct supervision, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognize discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.Prepares/ supervises the preparation of drawings and visual aids.Performs basic survey work and manage traffic surveys.Run Traffic models, calculations and design softwareAssignments usually include one or more of the following: calculations, preparation of plans and specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in a specific narrow area of assignments.Conducts calculation checksDraws engineering conclusions for data analysis within area of technical proficiency.Works on small projects or portions of large projects, with work reviewed by senior or appropriately experienced engineer.Researches and ensures assignments meet regulatory and industry codes, Local laws and requirements, as well as client requirements.Under direction of a professional or suitable experienced engineer, managers small tasks or portions of larger projectAttending meeting and taking MoMDesign Co-ordination with team membersAssist with delivery of program and profit objectives by completing tasks on time and budget.Minimum RequirementsProfessional Development:Maintain, develop and retain the highest appropriate standard of technical skillCommit to continual professional development Expanding knowledge and skills in integrated transport/land-use planning, travel demand management and modal shift initiativesTeam Work:Maintain good communication and co-operate with all project team members.Find opportunities to cooperate with members of other groupsPreferred QualificationsSpecific skills required:Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of Transport planning or similarKnowledge of AutoCADMust have worked on traffic analysis tools such as SYNCHRO, SIDRA, VISUM, VISSIM and HCSMust have experience in parking management, parking demand and supply, parking design within buildings, traffic circulations, determining the number of accesses/egressesShould be proficient in using VB and macrosPerson Specification:Accuracy and good attention to detail.High standard of work ethic and ability to use initiative.What We OfferWe will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
