Job OverviewThe General Manager - Construction will lead and oversee all construction activities for the Group, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This senior leadership role requires strategic planning, operational excellence, and strong stakeholder management.Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the overall construction strategy, aligning with corporate objectives. Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary construction team, including project managers, engineers, and site supervisors. Oversee the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of all construction projects. Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Manage relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. Monitor project performance, risk, and profitability; provide regular reports to senior management. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate contracts, procurement terms, and change orders to safeguard the company?s interests. Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and teamwork across all construction sites.SkillsEssential Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master?s preferred). Professional certification such as PMP, MCITP, or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, and project delivery models. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, AutoCAD). Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.Desired Experience Minimum 12 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. Proven track record of delivering large?scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects. Experience managing multi?million?dinar budgets and complex stakeholder environments. Demonstrated ability to lead cross?functional teams and drive performance improvements.
