Job summaryIn this Bahrain based leadership role, you will oversee a team of in-house immigration specialists responsible for managing immigration services for Amazon candidates and employees. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who likes building, leading, defining strategy with the ultimate goal of providing best in class service in the region.Key job responsibilitiesThis role will report into the Senior Manager, MENA Strategy & Ops and have accountability for all aspects of Bahrain immigration program, including sourcing, managing a large team of Immigration Specialists. The right leader for this role values continuous improvement, process, compliance and data inspection, and has proven record in successfully growing and designing new programs and capabilities with the employee experience at the forefront.? Manage and mentor a team of Bahrain immigration specialists responsible for case managing Bahrain immigration applications, providing expert immigration advice to international employees, HR, recruiters and business leaders and engaging government authorities involved in the immigration matters? Look at Bahrainization compliance and guiding the business where there are opportunities at a role level as well as overall org level? Looking around the corners and keeping up to date with the Bahrain regulatory updates, thus designing the required process changes, interventions to ensure change management is effectively managed? Employ strong Bahrain immigration experience to identify trends and develop targeted program-level goals and initiatives? Drive conception and execution of vision and goals for the team, providing stretch opportunities to foster individual development? Act as a subject matter expert and advise on case-level filing strategies including complex situations that require independent research and interpretation of processes and policies from both internal and external sources in ambiguous circumstances? Guide the immigration specialists on how to use all government portals, pull out reports and do the required analysis? Partner with internal teams, including Recruitment, HR, Legal, Risk and Compliance and Public Policy, to review and understand the impact of Bahrain immigration changes and develop associated processes, filing strategies and proposed resourcing plans? Educate HR and business partners on Bahrain immigration policies and their impact on business and hiring strategies? Partner with MENA and Global Immigration Program Managers to build performance measurement and inspection mechanisms and tools to evaluate the overall health of the Bahrain immigration program? Implement regular reviews of current processes to ensure ongoing compliance, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and lead continuous improvement initiativesAbout the teamThe Immigration Services team within People Experience & Technology centrally manages global immigration filings and delivers projects to improve quality, speed, experience, cost and compliance of immigration services at Amazon.? 5-8 years Bahrain immigration experience? Track record in managing high-volume immigration programs and improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction? Extensive experience in advising senior business and HR leaders on complex immigration regulations and compliance risks (either in-house or in a management consultancy / legal setting)? Track record in identifying and resolving complex immigration issues, assuming leadership roles in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances ? Track record in building strong networks/ relationships with internal and external leaders and implementing strategies in matrixed environments? Solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment? Excellent written and verbal communications (a high-level of Arabic and English language proficiency is essential)? Bachelor?s or Master?s degree (preferred) in a related field such as law, business management or HR? Native Arabic speaker
