Job Description

Compliance Officer for MedNet Bahrain As a member of Munich Re the MedNet Bahrain is one of the leading managed care service organizations that caters to healthcare needs. We are currently looking to hire a ?Compliance Officer? to ensure MedNet operates in compliance with all local regulation, Munich Re group rules and regulations concerning governance, compliance, financial crime, and AML. To lead the local MedNet entity regarding legal, compliance and financial crime and AML matters to ensure that the entity is aligned with applicable laws and regulations.Your Job:

  • Develop and maintain the MedNet compliance management system including required tools as well as development and maintenance of a compliance manual to meet and adhere to local and Munich standards
  • Manage all compliance matters and issues at MedNet
  • In coordination with the Head of Compliance, manage the overall relationship with local regulator as required, coordinate all tasks with these institutions to ensure fulfillment of regulatory requirements
  • Act as an open interface to MedNet staff of all levels to educate on and ensure they meet the regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and update the Financial Crime and AML policies and procedures, systems and controls
  • Acting as a responsible and responsive person for Board governance topics for MedNet
  • Manage the interface with the Regional Team and local operational units to ensure a smooth audit process
  • Assisting with reviewing and negotiating points of law and legal comments raised by contractual counterparts to ensure contracts are closed in an expeditious and effective manner
Your profile:
  • Bachelor?s degree in law or any other field & Diplomas in Compliance and Anti Money Laundering preferred
  • Experience in commercial/ insurance law
  • Good knowledge of and a minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance and regulatory business affairs
  • Experience in compliance and management strategy development, procedures, tools and techniques as well as implementation
  • Experience in dealing with regulators as well as higher management levels
  • Good Knowledge of insurance legislation and instructions.
  • Health Insurance/ Reinsurance background
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with fluency in English is a must; Arabic is an advantage
  • Team playing capabilities and a can-do attitude
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Law or any other field.
  • Diplomas in Compliance and Anti Money Laundering preferred
Minimum Experience:
