Job Description

Job Summary:Administer the internal audit activity of an assigned location or operation. Contribute to the Develop a comprehensive, practical audit program of engagement coverage for the assigned area or operation. Obtain accomplishment of the program in accordance with acceptable engagement standards and stipulated schedules. Provide consulting services to the Company?s management and staff. Provide input to the development of the annual audit plan. Maintain all the Company?s professional ethical standards.˙Responsibilities:

  • Prepares a detailed audit program of engagement coverage for the function to which assigned
  • Identifies those activities subject to engagement coverage, evaluates their significance, and assesses the degree of risk inherent in the activity in terms of cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Contribute to the accomplishment of objectives directed towards increasing the IA?s ability to serve management and add value to the companys operation
  • Provides management within the assigned function with reports on engagement coverage and engagement results and interprets those results so as to improve the engagement program and the engagement coverage
  • Assigns engagement areas, staff, and budget to senior and follow auditors.
  • Collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.
  • Establishes standards of performance and by review determines that performance meets the standards
  • Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff, and external contacts, and work effectively in a professional team environment.
˙Required Education:?
  • Minimum: BA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, Certified Internal Auditor
  • Preferred: BA Accounting, Finance or a related field, CIA, CPA, CISA
˙Required Competences & Skills:Detailed knowledge of and skill in applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices, and management principles, preferred in the Retail industry˙Other:Considerable knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by The Institute of Internal Auditors
