Job Title: Software QA EngineerDepartment/Division: TechnologyJob Role Summary:Implement the testing activities of software applications, and initiates, plans, and develops processes and projects to define and implement quality assurance practices in line with organizational policies, standards, and guidelines.Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:Develop and execute the test plans, processes, procedures and standards for the applications and maintenance releasesConduct certification tests, and certify production releasesProvide technical support during software installation or configurationDevelop and maintain the documentation of system test procedures and test casesEvaluate the testing processes, make improvements for effective testingReview Requirements and Design Documents for completeness ensuring the requirements are testableEnsures development of quality procedures and standards, certifying technological processes and procedures, qualifying products, and supervising testsPlans and leads quality related projectsEnsures issuing of technical documentation for customers, aimed at certifying organization s products reliability and guaranteeRecommends new quality policies or procedures to ensure high quality products, processes or servicesAssembles cost control and statistical data in support of quality objectives, as neededValidates and follows the quality assurance contracts with partnersConducts effective induction and orientation sessionsMaintains strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manualsResolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.Educational RequirementsBS Computer science, MIS, or equivalentKnowledge, Technical Skills and Experience3 to 4 years of relevant experienceExperience in software testing and quality assuranceExperience in system, regression and performance testingThorough knowledge of software testing procedures, methodologies, principles, and toolsExperience in automation testing (SPA automation testing is a plus)Competencies RequiredCommunication, influencing, presentation and negotiating skillsEfficiency and FocusQuality & customer orientationAnalytical thinkingTeamworkProblem solvingLanguagesGood English is a must
