Job Description

The IT Developer is responsible for reviewing, analyzing and occasionally modifying systems including encoding, testing, debugging, documenting and installing to support application systems. Also, he is responsible for writing documentation to describe custom configuration of applications and operating procedures to liaison with 3rd party application development consultantsOBJECTIVE:The IT Developer is responsible for reviewing, analyzing and occasionally modifying systems including encoding, testing, debugging, documenting and installing to support application systems. Also, he is responsible for writing documentation to describe custom configuration of applications and operating procedures to liaison with 3rd party application development consultantsDUTIES:Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance the existing Microsoft based systemsIdentify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processesInvestigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting of the existing systems and applicationsCoordinate application development for multiple projectsAssist in troubleshooting and solving software application issuesAssist in managing an outsource relationship for 3rd party application development and programming consultantsAssist network administrators with application installation and testingTroubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirementsAnalyze data contained in the corporate database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutionsProvides assistance and advice to Caritas users and management in the effective use of applications and information technologyProvide in-house development for some internal IT projects whenever possibleAdminister SQL Servers in live and test environmentsWrite technical procedures and documentation for the new and existing applications including operations, user guide, etc.Verify database and data integrityParticipate in weekly meetings with the IT team to discuss progress and issues to be resolved, and report progress on a weekly basis to the IT ManagerParticipate in IT project steering committees and be involved in the analysis and design phase of any new IT software development projectsAssist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projectsServe as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to assist in addressing and resolving IT software issuesSKILLS:Business SkillsGood Communication skills with all computer users to determine the nature of problems by providing support remotely or by phone or an on-site visitStrong analytical and problem solving skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities;Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing prioritiesWillingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hoursExcellent English oral and written communication skillsComputer SkillsExperience with CRM software is a mustTechnical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, and user supportGood background in Data Base design in Microsoft SQL and AccessBackground in Microsoft .NET, C#, Visual Basic, CSS and HTMLGood working knowledge skills with MS Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft ProjectA results oriented individual who thrives working in a fast paced environmentEXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:4 to 7 years of experience in a related field with hands-on technical roles
