Job SummaryIssue uniforms and linen according toprocedures laid down by the department. Control the movement of soiled and cleanlinen and uniforms to and from the department. Support the mission andvision of the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) and that ofthe Laundry Department.Essential Functions / Task GroupsFunctional/Administrative Duties:Mark all newly received linen and uniforms and place in proper storage.Coordinate with linen exchanged, discarded, and mended.Maintain an effective control system to issue clean linen and uniforms.Record all outgoing and incoming from the laundry before storing andissuing.Take size measurements for uniforms, gowns, medical equipment covers, etc.Fabricate a sample of all new items when needed.Transfer the discarded items into reusable items.Perform other tasks as requested.Critical CompetenciesClient Focus, Achievement Orientation,Organizational Awareness, Initiative, Communication Skills, Safety and HealthManagement, Developing Others, Resource Management, Team Skills, Planning andOrganizing, English Comprehension.Knowledge / Know-HowKnowledge: Knowledgeof chemical use and different formulas and effect on linen.
