Material Control Manager

Job Description

Job Purpose: Manage, plan, organize, direct, and control the activities and resources for material managementincluding stores management at DP World Jeddah to include but not limited to, inventory,documentation, planning, controls, digitization, KPIs management, and computerized systems all inaccordance with appropriate international and local standards for safety, reliability, effectiveness,and efficiency. Moreover, maintain optimum levels of inventory; ensure proper safekeeping,monitoring and control of movements of all supplies and property through effective personnelsupervision and records maintenance.Key Accountabilities:

• Recommend and generate formal procedures & processes in line with company policy applicable to the stores warehouse/inventory functions.
• Provide accurate documentation relating to specifications and standards of spare parts. Manage and expedite all warranty issues, items, claims, etc.
• Measure and monitor the Warehouse?s services quality performance against agreed KPIs, and implementing recommendations as needed.
• Lead DPWJED warehousing digital transformation projects and identify opportunities to improve practices in a way to create value for our customers, employees, and stakeholders, as per company policy and procedures.
• Provide reports on a regular basis to assist in the analysis and stock control of inventory.
• Liaise closely with other departments to provide a high level of service including internal collection and delivery as necessary.
• Organize the team to work in three shifts, 24hr, 7 days covering and ensuring stores safety, security, and protection around the clock.
• Follow-up with Procurement on PR and PO progress, delivery time, customs clearance documentations.
• Manage the Contracts consignment inventory, check on prices and invoices received from material contractors
• Monitor inventory value and turnover to assure availability for high consumed materials and avoid overstocking.
• Oversee and manage the daily issuance of fuel and ensure adequate availability.
• Oversee and manage the collection, tracking, and proper disposal of recyclable spare parts waste.
• Provide training to warehouse staff members to ensure proper inventory control.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with DP World Safety Environment Policy, standards and procedures.
