Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated skilled Head Chef with knowledge and experience of creating and delivering English cuisine for a pub to be based in Erbil, the Kurdistan region of Iraq.?You will be responsible for setting up the operations, planning the menu, and collaborating with a team of staff to deliver a service that meets the highest quality standards. You must be an excellent leader with great organisational skills and impeccable time management. Experience is English pubs is essential.This position is for a flexible, open to new cultures, adaptable personality - the pub is the first of its kind in a developing region.Job Responsibilities?

  • Manage a successful opening of the pub.
  • Direct, prepare and supervise cooking and other food preparation activities on a daily basis.?
  • Monitor and oversee sanitation practices to ensure that regulations and standards of cleanliness are always being strictly adhered to by employees.?
  • Coordinate all purchasing, budgeting and planning operations with other staff members.?
  • Analyse recipes and make menu changes when necessary to keep customers happy and to minimise overhead costs when possible.?
  • Inspect equipment, supplies, work areas and ingredients to ensure constant conformance to regulatory standards.?
  • Determine when additional help is needed to maintain satisfactory service, then recruit, interview and hire staff when needed, including kitchen workers and cooks.?
  • Establish production and staff schedules to ensure that there is sufficient help at all times to ensure timely delivery of food services.?
  • Produce purposeful SOPs?
