Job Description

General Manager - Tobacco Production PlantJob SummaryWe are looking to hire general manager to lead the overall management and operations activities of a Tobacco Manufacture in Erbil - Iraq. The GM will be responsible for initializing the development and deployment of new manufacture, as well as for planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations.Responsibilities include:

  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
  • Collect metrics, analyze productivity and set performance targets in alignment of review and cost goals
  • Build effective working relationships with clients and suppliers to support alignment and better understanding of their perspectives. Use that knowledge and relationships to strengthen our commercial position.
  • Lead role in advising around pricing for commercial contracts
  • Monitor productions and trigger corrective actions when and as needed.
  • Ensure risk mitigation through adherence to quality standards
  • Provide commercial assurance through forecasting, project review as required and identification of issues giving rise to commercial risk
  • Implementing robust safety and security procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Directs and manage support functions including, finance, supply chain, marketing, quality assurance and human resources.
