The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking for an Assignment Planner to join News team to monitor operational needs for Special Projects and make the information available to all relevant personnel. This position location is required for Erbil, Iraq. The incumbent will insure that all Special Projects are given proper logistical and coverage planning support. And will Organize planning sessions for each project and oversees the logistical efforts made or contemplated for those eventsThe Assignment Planner will Assist the Chief Global Assignment and Planning Editor in managing and coordinating logistics to insure that the Special Project is executed professionally and efficientlyThe Incumbent will Gather and maintain contact information needed for specific events, and will maintain a list of possible alternate vendors or personnel. As MBN’s chief point of contact in the planning stages of the event, the Assignment Planner must be well-informed in all developments, pending events, and logistical arrangements made or contemplated by the company.The Assignment Planner will Keep track of on-air talent assignments, and insure that crews, facilities, lines, and guest information relating to the event are properly disseminated, and to Maintain communication with press offices and media relations officials connected with each special project, and insure that credentials, travel, and technical arrangements have been addressed.In some cases, Assignment Planner might be requested to travel on assignments to assist with special coverage or programming.
