Job Description

Company:Our client, one of the leading dairy companies in the Middle East is looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their team.Opportunity:Reporting to the General Manager, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will provide strategic leadership to our client?s key functional departments including Herd, Supply Chain, Process Plants, Project & Plant Maintenance, Quality Assurance/Control, R&D, General Maintenance, Plant Maintenance, and Support Services. This executive role involves developing dynamic operational strategies, driving innovation initiatives, and ensuring the company remains a leader in the dairy industry.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present strategic and annual business plans.
  • Create annual operating plans supporting the strategic direction set by Executive Management.
  • Work closely with and Directors and Departments Management.
  • Manage OPEX & CAPEX budgets and report progress against business plans regularly.
  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of functional departments.
  • Drive innovative business improvements to achieve operational excellence.
  • Oversee risk management and ensure legal compliance with regional requirements.
  • Consolidate all business units in the location into a cohesive and productive organization.
  • Lower costs through optimization of people, processes, and technologies.
  • Foster and maintain business relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Act as a key advisor to company management and a catalyst for change.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor?s degree in Engineering; MBA is preferable.
  • Minimum 20 years in FMCG companies, with at least 10 years in a senior managerial role.
  • Preferred experience in the dairy/juice industries and familiarity with the GCC region.
  • Expertise in project management and ERP/business applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest dairy technologies.
  • Leadership and team development.
  • Strong analytical skills and decisive judgment.
  • Proven ability to manage KPIs and P&Ls.
  • Effective negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Innovative approach to business improvements.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is a definite advantage.
