Urgently required SENIOR ACCOUNTANT with at least 3 ? 5 years of experience in shipping, logistics & freight forwarding company in UAE. Candidates with cancelled visa or under one month notice period & who can join immediately are preferred.Only the shortlisted candidates meeting the above requirements will be contacted. FRESHERS DO NOT APPLY.?Prepares and issues customer invoices and account statements.?Prepares and issues vendor settlements.?Assists in the application of cash and preparation of bank deposits.?Matches invoices and purchase orders.?Maintains account ledgers by posting transactions.?Assist with month-end and year-end close.?Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.?Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.?Knowledge of VAT?Knowledge of Corporate Tax?Follow up for payments (credit control)?Verifies payment status with shipping line.?Identifies delinquent accounts and insufficient payments; collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts, and notifying customers of insufficient payments.?Processes invoices to ensure information is current and up-to-date.?Reviews financial information and assists in preparing weekly reports.?Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.?Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping strict customer confidentiality.?Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.?Strong computer skills; strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.?Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information.
