Objective ? Job objective of team member in Finance & Accounts - Insurance is to work in sync with other team member of organisation particularly trade & shipping team, to assist in achieving company?s & department objective. To co-ordinate with insurance companies, insurance brokers, and various stakeholders involved in trade transactions as well as help in marine, general, medical and trade credit insurance. Key challenges which candidates needs to be adapt is flexibility for any emergency business requirements, pro-active when dealing with insurance companies, insurance brokers. To ensure adherence to all SOP applicable to the business.Broad Responsibilities:? Ensure support to trade transactions is extended on pro-active basis.? Timely preparation, submission of various documents to the insurance companies, insurance brokers, etc.? Tracking, Monitoring and maintenance of all insurance policies, documentation, records & control procedures.? Assisting in obtaining insurance policies and insurance claims closure within deadlines assigned.? Assist TL in negotiating best premium rates with Insurance companies.? Ensuring to work with good credit rating Insurance companies.? Adherence to Legal Compliances & SOP Guidelines.Key Challenges:? Attention to each & every aspect of the transaction in detail.? Sound knowledge of insurance subject, insurance policies and claims and dealing on pro-active basis with selfpush.? Dealing with various insurance companies/insurance brokers, parties and to ensure common ground/understanding.? Flexibility to available always to ensure smooth business transactions.AccountabilityInsurance for Medical, Motor, Travel, Fire, Cash/Cash in Transit, PublicLiability, Workmen Compensation, Trade Credit and Marine InsuranceAssisting the trade team in procuring trade credit insurance for dailytrade/business transactions.Insurance :? Preparing, applying & arranging the various insurance documents including but not limited to insurance amount workings, insurance policies, insurance claim documents.? Co-ordinating with insurance companies/brokers on travel insurance and taking the same with in deadlines set by management.? Co-ordinating with insurance companies/brokers on receiving required insurance according to law for public liability and workmen compensation insurance.? Liaising with insurance companies/brokers to ensure all the certificate are in place and in compliance to the contract/shipment.? Keeping the track of all the open insurance policies and acting pro-actively to ensure smooth renewal.? Co-ordinating with insurance companies/brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure insurance claims are filed timely and rigours follow-ups are done till money being credited to SSOE bank accounts.? Preparing any other reports, data, documents, trade requirements, etc. on regular or on ad-hoc basis.? Keeping various data base for periodical management review meetings & presentations.? Assisting in developing & implementing efficient policies, procedures & practices.Assisting the trade team in procuring trade credit insurance for dailytrade/business transactions.
