Job Description

Job Profile & ResponsibilitiesEssential:Meetings:-Meet on a quarterly basis in Dubai / Europe with Family members.-Organize monthly / Quarterly update calls with relevant Family members and Board members of the Dubai Corporate Center.Maintain the Existing HG Corporate Structure (Outside India and the Business Units):-Administer the existing trust structures and their assets working with the External Fiduciaries;-Administer the timely payment of all corporate invoices to the external fiduciaries, against an agreed annual budget.-Work to reduce and rationalize the overall cost of the HG Corporate Structure.-Work to liquidate in a methodical manner, all unnecessary or dormant companies in the structure.-Corporate Tax Planning and Administration, globally:-Support and work close co-ordination with President ? International Companies and Taxation for the corporate tax fillings of all International HG companies.Preferred:?Perform administrative and secretarial duties for the legal department.?Acts as liaison between company attorneys, outside counsel, organizations, and management?Provide administrative support to lawyer and enhance office effectiveness?Handle communication with clients, witnesses etc.?Conduct intermediate level legal and factual research on assigned matters?Draft client contracts and submit to seniors for review?Support M&A activities?Assist President Legal with preparations for Board meetings?File legal documents and correspondence daily?Respond to email, walk-in and phone inquiries from clients and witnesses?Maintaining attorney calendars, including all appointments, court deadlines, meetings,?and all necessary dates regarding pleadings?Facilitate contract review, administration, and management of various group entities?contracts using contract management software.?Drive annual and other periodic corporate reporting and filings with secretaries of state?and other business registration/qualification authorities?Coordinate with global subsidiaries regarding annual reports, minutes and other documents,? as well as obtain necessary signatures from officers and ensure timely return of documents?Drive and expedite due dates, deadlines, and task completion for legal team as needed?Assist with integrations of acquired entities with the legal department?Performs other duties as assigned?Research and verify documents and statistics as & when needed?Conduct investigations and statistical/documentary research?Whenever required:- Help in house Group attorneys/ seniors in preparations for meetings?and trails; Prepare case testimony, briefs and interrogatories;?Maintain complete and orderly files in a manner that expedites retrieval?Ensure record and privacy requirements are followed?Maintain contact lists?Monitor, study and develop written summaries of proposed and enacted legislation,?regulations, court decisions, industry guidelines, trade journals and other relevant publications?Assist with the administration and management of workflowCOMPETENCIES REQUIREDSkills & abilities?Proven working experience as Senior Legal Officer in OGC Department?Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system?Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office?Proficiency in English.?Excellent secretarial and organizational skills?Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure?Proficiency in Office365 ? including Microsoft Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel and?related legal software(s).Educational qualifications and Experience requirements?Bachelor degree in Law or higher from a reputable university.?Previous working experience as a Senior Assistant legal department minimum of 10 to 15 years.?Knowledge of Corporate, International laws?Experience on international structuring and taxation?In depth knowledge of legal databases, procedures and protocols.?Excellent organizational and time management skills?Analytical and critical thinking aptitude.Expectation:?Full time position?Regular attendance 5 days per week - consistently on time (unless pre-approved or modified schedule)?Accuracy of work product?Ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner?Ability to meet deadlines and produce rush projects as assigned?Strong analytical, organization, and communication skills accompanied by flexibility to quickly adapt in a fast paced, changing environment.?Ability to deal with offshore trusts, service agents, protector of trusts & trustees.?Knowledge of international laws and tax for the purpose of international security.
