Roles & ResponsibilitiesWe're looking for a detail-oriented and highly organised Bookkeeper to join our growing team at Randall Business Services. This is a genuine all-rounder role for someone who enjoys keeping the numbers tidy and the day running smoothly.You'll support our UK-facing business as well as Randall Business Services' own bookkeeping and payroll here in the UAE, so exposure to both markets is a plus. Our UK accountant reviews and signs off the UK filings, so you don't need to be a UK tax expert ? but familiarity with UK VAT and bookkeeping practices will help you hit the ground running.What your role will look likeBookkeeping (UK clients)Issuing customer invoicesMaintaining records of financial transactions by posting and verifying supplier and customer invoicesReconciling entries to balance customer and supplier accountsReconciling bank statementsAssisting with preparing quarterly UK VAT returns (submitted under Making Tax Digital and reviewed by our UK accountant)Assisting with payroll and payment of suppliersPreparing monthly management accountsPreparing financial reports by analysing and summarising account informationMonitoring and reporting on variances against planned income and expenditureImplementing and improving our bookkeeping policies and proceduresBookkeeping (UAE ? Randall Business Services)Maintaining accurate day-to-day records to hand to our UAE accountantAssisting with UAE VAT (5%) record-keeping and quarterly filing support via the FTA portalSupporting UAE payroll, including WPS (Wage Protection System) processingKeeping documentation organised for UAE Corporate Tax and audit purposesPA / Office support (growing over time)Monitoring the company's shared inboxes and flagging or forwarding anything important that the director needs to act onGeneral administrative support to the director, increasing as the role developsDesired Candidate ProfileHands-on experience with Sage and Xero (detailed working knowledge of both)AAT Level 4 or equivalent qualification5+ years' bookkeeping experienceStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data entryExcellent organisational and time-management skillsSolid knowledge of accounting principles and practicesFamiliarity with UK VAT / bookkeeping a strong advantage (UAE VAT experience also welcome)Comfortable working independently and as part of a small teamTrustworthy and discreet ? you'll have access to sensitive company information and inboxesWhat we offerA stable part-time schedule with a clear path to increased hours and responsibility as the business growsA varied role combining finance and PA work ? no two days the sameA convenient Ibn Battuta Gate location.
