Roles & ResponsibilitiesAssist in managing corporate tax and indirect tax matters across multiple GCC jurisdictions, including UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait.Support the Tax in Charge in implementing tax strategies aimed at optimizing tax positions while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Assist in identifying tax planning opportunities and efficiency improvements across the business.Support the preparation, review, and submission of corporate tax, VAT, and other applicable tax returns within required deadlines.Coordinate sales tax/VAT compliance activities, including taxability reviews, reconciliations, reporting, and remittance processes.Monitor tax compliance requirements and assist in identifying potential tax risks and exposure areas.Assist in maintaining and improving tax processes, systems, and controls in collaboration with Finance and IT teams.Support the implementation and enhancement of tax-related modules and solutions within ERP and other financial systems.Prepare tax calculations, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation for reporting and compliance purposes.Assist in developing tax compliance solutions for e-commerce, digital marketing, and cross-border business activities.Monitor changes in GCC tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders.Support tax audits, assessments, and inquiries by coordinating with external auditors, consultants, and tax authorities.Prepare documentation and responses required during tax audits and regulatory reviews.Work closely with Finance, Accounting, and Business teams to ensure accurate tax treatment of transactions and business activities.Assist in developing and standardizing tax compliance procedures, templates, and reporting formats.Support training and awareness initiatives for finance and accounting teams on tax-related matters.Maintain accurate and organized tax records, filings, and supporting documentation.Prepare tax reports, analyses, and presentations for management review.Perform other tax-related duties and projects as assigned by the Tax in- Charge.Desired Candidate ProfileBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CTA, is a must.Minimum 6?8 years of experience in corporate taxation, with at least 2?3 years of experience in the UAE or GCC region.Strong understanding of UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, and GCC tax regulations.Experience in the retail, e-commerce, or FMCG industry is preferred.Previous experience with a Big Four accounting firm (PwC, Deloitte, EY, or KPMG) is an advantage.Experience supporting tax compliance, tax reporting, audits, and tax advisory projects.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.Good communication and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in ERP systems, tax software, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and support cross-functional business initiatives.
