Production Supervisor

Job Description

? Direct and supervise and control the workers of the department to ensure that they are appropriately trained and motivated and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.? On receipt of the Job order, plan the raw material and tooling requirements and prepare the production schedule.? Allocate the workers for the various production schedules on a daily basis.? Coordinate with the QC personnel for the inspection and testing of the semi-finished and finished goods.? Coordinate with the logistics department for the delivery of the finished goods to the customer as per the delivery schedule.? Ensure the maintenance of quality and other production related documents. Comply with ISO standards.? Plan, introduce and monitor maintenance and work schedules to ensure that machine downtime is kept to a minimum.? Oversee all operating processes to ensure that the most efficient and effective use is made of plant and equipment and that safety standards are adhered to.? Monitor output to ensure that production meets the established standards in terms of both quantity and quality.? Maintain regular contact with other departments to ensure that they are aware of production requirements and to identify potential problems, also represent the company if any government authority visits the plant for any inspection.? Negotiate with vendors to ensure the cost-effective provision of services to the factory.? Provide advice and support to other departments on rubber production issues.? Maintain an awareness of new developments in rubber production processes and propose modifications to plant and equipment so that the company makes the best use of technological developments
