We are seeking a highly qualified Structural Engineering Inspector with extensive experience in Deep Foundations namely Diaphragm walls, piles and deep excavations. Reports to the Senior Structural Engineer or Resident Engineer. Oversees reviews and monitors implementation of the structural construction works on site. Liaises with the project management, contractor and client counterparts to ensure that the construction is carried out in accordance with plans and specifications.This position is strictly focused on the deep foundations part of the project. Candidates without significant deep foundations expertise need not apply.Job Duties' Undertake full supervisory inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor submitted plans.' Understands applicable codes, standards and project contract documents and monitors construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents.' Interprets or clarifies technical aspects of contract documents' Maintains and prepares a variety of records, including daily/weekly progress reports, or as directed by Resident Engineer and Project Management.' Ensures that responses to contractors' submittals are complete and in compliance with the contract documents. Where problems are found, work with Resident Engineer and Project Management to resolve.' Assist the Senior Discipline engineer to identify, respond to or evaluate technical issues to maintain the schedule.' Highlights any non-conformity to construction/ engineering related issues on site through issuance of NCRs' Attends progress review meetings and co-ordination meetings to assist the Resident Engineer in resolving any site issues such as discrepancies in project's drawings.' Provide daily site reports and highlights issues that arise on site to the Resident Engineer.' Coordinates with the other team members.' Monitor Health and Safety of the construction works and report on violations.' Review in timely manner the Contractors submittals and forward the comments to the management' Ensure that the Contractor incorporated any comments raised from previous Stages.' Attend Technical meetings with the Contractors, Client and other members of the Project Management team.' Coordinate with the Document Controller to ensure that all Documents relevant discipline are properly controlled.' Monitor Contractors submittals and the timely processing of shop drawings ' Prepare lists of defects and issue to and check rectification by the Contractor.
