Our mission is to protect and support our clients, securing their place in a complex world by consistently delivering quality services and value, while growing our business.GardaWorld now seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced Consultants for a Diplomatic Close Protection Officer (CPOOnly applications from British & Commonwealth passport holders will be considered.All applicants are kindly requested to ensure they carefully read through all Terms and conditions attached to this opportunity.Only candidates that meet and are able to demonstrate the below hiring criteria s will be considered:The Diplomatic Close Protection Operator must possess the following:-Minimum of 7 year s military experience and previous experience in hostile environment (min 2 operational tours)-Valid SIA Licence (Close Protection front-line)-In date FPOS-I qualification; and-To have attended and passed an accredited CP course.-British & Commonwealth passport holders only* see note below-Full UK Driving Licence & Minimum C1 driving qualification-Recent commercial experience-Qualified & experienced in fire-arms use-Qualified & experienced in armoured vehicle driving-English is first language & physically fit-Must be CRB vetted*All candidates will need to be screened to SC level or eligible for screening so only British & Commonwealth passport holders can apply. Proviso: You must have been resident in the UK for at least two of the previous 10 years immediately prior to your application, at least one year of which must have been a consecutive twelve month period unless you have served overseas with HM Forces or in some other official capacity as a representative of Her Majesty s Government, or have lived overseas as a result of your parents or partner s Government employment.Desirable skills also include:-previous experience working in a diplomatic environment-previous in-country experience in a similar capacityJob DutiesThe CPO will manage the daily operations in all of its functions which will include but will not be limited to the below duties-Operate as a member of a Driver, vehicle commander and or Close Protection team providing security and safety for FCO staff and visitors, as allocated, whilst working outside the confines of the FCO premises.-Ensures that he/she is fully briefed and trained for all duties and responsibilities and kept abreast of the latest developments locally.
