Roles & ResponsibilitiesCandidates must have relevant experience in Substation and/or Overhead Transmission Line projects, either in India or internationally.Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs tailored to Indian regulatory standards and workplace environments.Conduct thorough hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA) for all operational activities, focusing on potential Indian workplace hazards.Investigate all accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, determining root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian safety legislation, including the Factories Act, and other applicable regulations.Desired Candidate ProfileBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical) or equivalent.The engineering college and the relevant discipline must be accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).Possession of a relevant professional safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or Indian equivalent).Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in safety engineering within the Indian industrial sector.Proven experience in implementing and managing OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 management systems.
