Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo provide specialized services related to the design and construction of orthodontic appliances, and to participate in prosthetics work covering both full and partial removable appliances.Design and construct the orthodontic appliances for each case by receiving master impression from orthodontic clinic via supervisor and discusses course of action, duration of work and potential problems with supervisor. Specialized in the technical aspect of orthodontic work according to the latest technology applied i.e. construct appliances to the specification of the orthodontist by preparing study models, fixing springs, retraction hooks and expansion screws to ensure desired effect, assembling on to a master model, waxing on to a base and processing in acrylic resin.Construct both full and partially upper and lower denture by designing wax bite block, selecting teeth and carving them to desired shape, processing with acrylic resin and trimming and polishing. Design and construct silver cap splints for (fractured jaws) injuries by preparing a model on an articulator to re-produce patient bites, involves positioning, locking plates and soldering the splints to the locking plates. Carries out other related duties such as maintaining workbench equipment in a safe manner, assisting colleagues by undertaking prosthetic activities as workload demands. Desired Candidate ProfileEducation: Diploma in Dental Technology plus advanced diploma (or equivalent experiences) from a recognized institution.Experience: 6 years.Practicing license from Ministry of Health ? Kuwait.
