Job Description
Responsible to help engineering teams deliver projects as per schedule and ensure project is delivered on time and within the budget.
Develop strategies, determine material and labour costs, monitor team performance, ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
Understand project specifications, draw work schedules and budgets, delegate tasks, analyse project specifications and find cost-effective ways to meet them, liaise with contractors and suppliers, manage resources, and communicate with surveyors, managers, and other engineers.
Control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing processes, etc
Negotiate with vendors and contractors to secure the best prices.
Understand and meet all contract requirements. Communicate with managers, supervisors, and the rest of the team. Attending and scheduling meetings as required
Observe existing processes, analyse staff performance, and address deficiencies accordingly
Analyse technical drawings and provide material and cost estimates
Interpret / analyse data, compile / write reports, and deliver presentations when required
Monitor and track project progress, and write up reports.
