Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Network Support Engineer, or similar role.? A basic understanding of network technologies and troubleshooting network issues is a must? Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.? Clear knowledge of hardware and network infrastructure.? Ability to think and imagine solutions to problems.? Power to install, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure tools including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.? Knowledge of transport systems and the standards for network infrastructure.? Can build detailed network diagrams and documents for network communication systems design and planning.? Network security experience? Troubleshooting, diagnosing and solving hardware, software, and other issues affecting the network and device.? Replacing defective hardware components of the network where possible.? Network performance monitoring to decide whether any changes are required.? Conferring with network users on solving issues with current networks.? Plan, install, and test networking devices, hardware for computers, and devices for operating systems.? Knowledge of Avaya telephony system will be an added advantage?Cisco certification (CCNA/CCNP) or similar technologies is preferred.
