Manage the planning and undertaking of scheduled and breakdown maintenance of engineering equipment?s or plant.
Oversee the checking, repairing and servicing machinery, equipment, systems and infrastructures.
Ensure that equipment?s are in good working order so as to prevent disruption of activities
Offer technical expertise to maintenance people like supervisor, foreman, fitters and technicians.
Anticipate problems, analyse situations, and quickly find solutions to them.
Strategize on maintenance, work instruction and methods.
Oversee and control maintenance costs.
Check work-in-progress and during completion to meet specifications.
Oversee inventory for the tools & spares and place orders for new ones as and when required
Conduct close coordination/communication with other departments in order to facilitate the mechanical repair and preventive maintenance job
Prepare and submit the necessary reports as required by Management and other reports as identified in the company?s systems and procedures
Ensure quality of technical specifications for spares and sub-contracted work
Maintain complete confidentiality of all sensitive matters relating to the business in general and Maintenance Department
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
