Utilities Coordinator

Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Utilities Coordinator to join our team! In this role you will get to perform on a variety of engineering duties and may identify as sub-disciplines of Civil Engineering such as: municipal/urban, water resources, materials. Also, plan and design structures and facilities such as bridges, roads, irrigation projects, pipelines, tunnels and other projects.This is a remote role located in Madinat Zayed, Abu Dhabi.What Youll Be Doing

• The Utilities Engineer is a focal point for coordination all design utility engineering issues throughout the design process and for utility authority submittals, coordinating with multiple design disciplines to deliver consolidated utility design packages to client and authorities.
• Reviewing incoming utility information & identifying issues with proposed design and propose mitigations.
• Preparing Utilities Corridors in accordance with all reverent authorities guidelines and requirements.
• Outlining Utilities coordination issues/ proposing solutions.
• Preparing necessary Utilities drawings (relocation/ protection) required to obtain authorities NOCs.
• The Utility Engineer has up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, international codes/standards and possess a broad knowledge and experience of utility works in large infrastructure projects.
• Prepares standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
• Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
• Reviews small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses.
• Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
• Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.
• Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable.
• Capable of Presenting Proposals to Project Team, Authorities & client as well.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills Youll Bring

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) from recognized Institution.
• Mandatory 12+ years of overall experience of which at least 6+ years experience should be within UAE in supervision of Infrastructure works and dealing with Utility coordination In Abu Dhabi (Design and/or Construction).
• Has excellent knowledge of Abu Dhabi Utility/ Service provider requirements.
• Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication in English.

What Desired Skills Youll Bring

• Arabic language skills are preferred.
• Confident, Outspoken and Great communication skills is a plus.
