The galleries are not separated by geography but set in chronological order, the aim is to encourage respect, curiosity, learning and self-reflection.Opportunity:Louvre Abu Dhabi is looking for a Education Programs, Outreach and Community Engagement Museum Professionals. The role is responsible to provide support in developing and overseeing the full department across the three sections (Outreach, Education programs, Learning resources, with emphasis on mentoring key UAE talents in the team.The role holder possesses a strong background in project and team management with key understanding in business development. The candidate co-manages the content development of programs to a range of audience segments, contribute to developing and managing the educations teams deliverables from families and lifelong learners to participate in a diverse and engaging program of events and activities onsite in the informal learning settings of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, linking experiences to relevant curriculum or educator needs. The role holder should possess strong skills related to defining Business models for Education activities and programs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishe Unit goals, methods, policies and procedures for implementing programmes in alignment with the Sectors strategic vision, mission and goals.
  • Manage and prepare a variety pf outreach projects for Education and Learning Resources department activities.
  • Create opportunities and reports on the same for department activities, including roadshows, for schools, universities, People of Determination, hard to reach communities, the academic community, creative community, senior citizens, families and volunteers (amongst others).
  • Prepare progress and status reports by analysing and summarizing the information and trends of the Units work.
  • Mentor and train the team members in order to prepare them for future responsibilities within the team.
  • Develop and lead academic and community events in and outside the museum.
  • Contribute to departmental plans which covers project funding, feasibility, staffing, and related constraints of the department ensuring the availability of required resources to carry out all the tasks related to the needs.
  • Work with the Education & Interpretation Manager, develop medium and long-term departmental goals in line with the Louvre Abu Dhabis vision, mission and strategic direction.
  • Work with the Education and Learning Resources Manager in the preparation of short-medium and long term plans for the department.
  • Manage the administration of invoices related to Unit initiatives, projects and / or programme.
  • Create a welcoming environment for visitors, conducive to experiential informal learning, through quality educational experiences, special projects, activities and materials onsite and online.
  • Analyse data and collect information on visitors needs and expectations in order to develop new programs and interpretation activities and experiences and reports this information to the Education & Interpretation Manager and Director.
Required Qualifications & Experiences:
  • Bachelors degree in Museum Education, Art Education, Art History, History, and Museology.
  • A minimum of 10 years of post graduate experience in running audience development. programmes in a museum or cultural setting.
  • Experience of budget and project management.
  • Experience in similar position in creative educational learning.
  • Knowledge of current practice in audience development and museum education.
  • Fluency in English, Arabic and French is a plus.
