Job Description

Job Title: Cognitive Trainer Part Time Job Location: Abu Dhabi Experience: 1-2 YearsReports to: [Program Director/Clinical Supervisor] Job Summary: The Cognitive Trainer is responsible for assessing, designing, and delivering cognitive training programs tailored to the needs of clients. The role involves using evidence-based techniques and tools to improve clients cognitive abilities, such as memory, attention, processing speed, and problem-solving. The trainer will work closely with clients to monitor progress, adjust programs as needed, and provide ongoing support and motivation. Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients cognitive strengths and weaknesses.
  • Use standardized tests, interviews, and other assessment tools to gather information.
  • Analyze assessment results to develop a customized cognitive training program.
Program Design and Implementation:
  • Design individualized cognitive training programs based on assessment results and client goals.
  • Implement training sessions using various techniques, exercises, and software tools.
  • Adjust and modify training programs as needed to ensure they are effective and engaging.
Training and Coaching:
  • Lead one-on-one or group training sessions, guiding clients through cognitive exercises and activities.
  • Provide clear instructions, feedback, and encouragement to help clients stay motivated and engaged.
  • Monitor clients progress, track performance, and make adjustments to training plans as needed.
Client Support and Communication:
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to discuss progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Educate clients and their families about cognitive health, training techniques, and strategies for improvement.
  • Address any concerns or questions from clients and provide ongoing support.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed records of client assessments, training sessions, and progress.
  • Prepare reports on client outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychologists or occupational therapists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to cognitive training.
Continuous Improvement and Professional Development:
  • Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and tools in cognitive training and neuropsychology.
  • Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to the development of new training programs or the improvement of existing ones.
Qualifications: Education:
  • A degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Occupational Therapy, Education, or a related field is required.
  • Additional certifications in cognitive training, neuropsychology, or brain fitness are a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in cognitive training, education, rehabilitation, or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adults, and seniors.
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of cognitive functions and neuropsychology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training programs.
  • Proficiency in using cognitive training software and tools.
  • Patience, empathy, and a motivational attitude.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
