Job Description

Opportunity to seize for a highly skilled and experienced Captain - Jack-Up Barge with a state-owned oil company based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This long-term position offers exceptional compensation commensurate with your outstanding profile and provides a unique chance to lead a top-notch crew and elevate your career to the next level.Roles and Responsibilities:Safely navigate and manage the positioning of the jack-up barge.Ensure all navigation operations adhere to international maritime standards.Plan and execute sailing and positioning tasks efficiently.Lead, supervise, and support the onboard crew.Delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth barge operations.Conduct regular training and emergency drills to ensure preparedness.Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.Ensure compliance with relevant maritime laws and regulations.Perform regular safety inspections and audits.Oversee the maintenance and functionality of navigational and operational equipment.Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance.Ensure all systems are operational and well-maintained.Maintain clear communication with the offshore project manager and onshore support.Provide regular updates on operations, logistics, and safety conditions.Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation.Skills and Qualifications:ARAMCO Approved.Valid Captains license in line with International Maritime Organization (IMO) standards.Minimum of 5 years experience as a Captain, including at least 2 years on jack-up barges or similar offshore platforms.Relevant maritime education or degree.Up-to-date STCW certifications, including first aid, fire-fighting, and survival training.Willingness to travel and stay offshore for extended periods.Strong leadership and managerial skills with experience in leading large crews.Proficient in maritime navigation systems, safety protocols, and marine equipment maintenance.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Ability to work effectively in challenging offshore conditions.Physical fitness to handle emergency situations.Quick and effective decision-making skills, especially under pressure.Keen attention to navigational and safety details.Strong problem-solving abilities in navigation and safety operations.Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse crew.Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications, including their CV, all certifications, and maritime licenses, by email to [Confidential Information], with the subject line CJUB24, no later than September 30, 2024.
