Supply Chain - Category Manager (MRO/Indirect): Dammam

This position will be a member of the NOV Corporate Procurement Team based in Saudi Arabia. The regionalCategory Manager, Indirect Procurementis responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategic sourcing initiatives across the organization for all assigned categories. Indirect Categories include, but not limited to MRO, Facility Management, Uniforms, and Packaging supplies. Regional geography includes Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar with possible growth aspirations. The position shall work closely with NOV site personnel as well as manufactures and distributors to bring value to the organization. The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic and be a self-starter with the ability to bring complex projects to conclusion.Our organization is undergoing technology and process transformations that present both challenges as well as opportunities for personal growth.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Develop and execute the regional procurement strategy in line with Corporate Procurement to maximize NOV?s leverage in terms of value and synergy throughout the region.Assess regional business requirements, lead strategy creation, execute tenders, evaluate offers, lead negotiations and award contracts through efficient category and contract management best practices.Negotiate contracts with strategic suppliers considering a total cost of ownership perspective, terms of service, and quality while working with cross-functional stakeholders.Create business cases for identified category management wave plans.
