They are carving their own desire lines through traditional consumer categories.We are built on the foundation of Trust, Talent, Transformation.Knowledge:1) A good grasp of communications planning and acting in a consultant capacity to the client2) Be able to develop a good rapport with media owners and colleagues within Starcom and the creative agencies.3) Develop an understanding of the client?s business, their products, services, customer profile, marketing and business objectives, competitors and sales.4) Understand the strengths and weaknesses of the major media (press, TV, radio, cinema, outdoor, digital), the fundamentals of how they are traded and approximate costs and audience delivery and the strengths and5) Develop a comprehension of what is or isn?t on strategy and be able to develop communication strategy with the assistance of the AMD / MD6) Sound knowledge of the media market place and opportunities available7) Expertise in all research data, including client research such as: Sales Data, Awareness tracking, Competitive Data etc8) Be familiar with and able to sell advanced research tools such as Space ID, MAD, Score ideation , Budget Calculator, Score ROI , Consumer Value targeting, KPI Tracker9) Understand how research is conducted for all the major media e.g. Expertise in all relevant industry software and systems: Statex, ZPlan, TGI, TNS Tracker (if applicable)10) Sound knowledge of IMS (Integrated Marketing Solutions) and acts as an industry expert on the client and media landscape11) Understand clients overall business and marketing objectives displaying a sound knowledge of all media, including TV, print, radio, Outdoor and Online. Working efficiently as part of an overall integrated team.Skills:1) To build a relationship with client and agency counterparts (e.g. Brand Managers, Account Execs/Account Managers)2) Be numerate, literate and accurate in all aspects of your work3) Possess good communication and selling skills4) Microsoft officeProduct:1) To help the team as required, e.g. perform competitive analyses, answering direct information requests, evaluation of media options2) To work with Buying Team to: Provide them with an investment brief, Collaborate in the development of implementation plan, Liaise with them regarding any issues on on-going plans3) To undertake additional projects beyond client responsibilities as requested, e.g. help on new business, analysis for overseas officesPeople:1) To grow the strategic thinking capabilities of the team2) To ensure that the team has a motivated work environment3) Oversees and is responsible for the smooth running of all client / supplier and interdepartmental relationshipsOperations:1) To ensure all media briefs are accurate before being sent to the Buying Team or Specialist Units (Digital, Liquid Thread, Research, etc.)2) To create and develop a strategic framework that delivers on the clients objectives - Formulation of a media strategy, Consumer Insights Analysis, Identification of business challenges facing the client, Competitive Landscape Analysis, Media selection, Maximizing cost-efficiency, Timing and laydown, Strike weights, Budget levels by market3) To start to foster relationships with the clients where the planner is respected for their media skills and ability to add value to the effectiveness of clients? media investment.4) Manage a staff of media professionals. Develop the staff through performance management and giving consistent feedback. Identify with staff, developmental opportunities and help them to work toward their professional goals5) Working with & promoting services of specialised Vivaki units to clients6) Responsible for the day to day workings of the client team in conjunction with the Media Director offering support, training and insight to team members7) Introducing new initiatives (eg. Newsletters, workshops/training, new learnings8) Participating & leading new business pitchesQualificationsWe are looking for someone who can come in and immediately make an impact. This person should exude confidence and display a desire to learn. Whilst the successful candidate will be well supported, we would be ideally looking for someone who can ?hit the ground running.Ideally, we are looking for someone who has:- BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field- A four-year college education and 7 to 9 years of relevant experience, some of which includes managing a team.- Strong technical skills in offline and digital.- Candidate can be based in Riyadh or Jeddah.- Exceptional communication skills ? you?re skilled at interpreting client objectives and clearly articulating proposed media strategies and recommendations- A strong, proven ability to teach analytic skills to staff, developing, encouraging and inspiring them to grow- Willingness to travel as needed ? you?re open to new places, new faces and new ideasSenior Manager - MediaRiyadh or Jeddah, Riyadh/Jeddah, Saudi ArabiaFull-time
