Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talentedSenior Landscape Architect to join our team! In this role you will get to work on marquee urban development projects and create master plans that will change the fabric of our cities.What Youll Be Doing:

  • Preparation of design and presentation of high-quality landscape concept drawings.
  • Preparation of technical design packages through to tender.
  • Contract administration of projects.
  • Liaison with juniors and plan, program and delegate within the team structure.
  • Coordination with other relevant disciplines such as Irrigation Designers, Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Architects, Master planners and Quantity Surveyors.
  • Provide routine liaison with Clients and Clients representatives.
  • Prepare contracts within budget requirements and provide accurate costing information to the client or quantity surveyors.
  • Develop maintenance plans for completed sites.
What Required Skills Youll Bring:
  • Demonstrate a team oriented and collaborative approach to landscape architecture within the design team.
  • Demonstrate an expert understanding of the regional construction industry, local construction methods and their influence on design decisions.
  • Demonstrate a solid commitment to quality design.
  • Demonstrate solid communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possess self-motivation, work part of the team but also have the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of key design related computer programs such as Revit, Adobe suites and 3D modelling software such as Sketch Up and Rhino
  • Minimum of Bachelors Degree and Post Graduate Qualification in Landscape Architecture.
  • Completion of the relevant professional qualifications and affiliation to a recognized landscape body in the country of education.
  • Minimum of 7 years related work experience post-professional qualifications.
  • Maintain affiliations with professional societies to keep abreast of technologies.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of industry codes/standards/health and safety requirements and sustainability regulations.

  • A willingness to develop and further landscape architecture skills and techniques for the enhancement and efficiency of the team.
  • Competent and proven planting design and horticultural knowledge.
  • Professional chartership - CMLI / ASLA / ALIA
