Location: YemenProgram: Humanitarian Assistance Portfolio YemenTotal LOE: 60 days (remote work)Timeframe: November 2019 February 2020Background: Global Communities is seeking a WASH consultant to support our Yemen WASH programming. The consultant will be responsible to review Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for our proposed WASH activities for projects under the Yemen portfolio, including technical drawings, to be reviewed and approved by USAID and/or OFDA.Responsibilities Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:? Review WASH projects BoQs and technical drawings and provide technical input to the field team, as requested.? In close coordination with the field program staff, follow-up on WASH program activities to ensure that activities are implemented in accordance with donor-approved proposal, requirements and budget.? Coordinate with HQ and Yemen field teams to address WASH-related questions received from the donor.Deliverables include:? Review WASH BoQs for projects under the Yemen portfolio.? Feedback and assistance to revise technical responses to donor queries related to WASH Projects BoQs.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities? Strong knowledge of USAID environmental compliance requirements for WASH projects.? Demonstrated experience providing technical assistance to field teams in the MENA region, preferably in Yemen.? Ability to prioritize and work to strict deadlines.? Language fluency (speaking, writing) in English and Arabic required.Qualifications? At least 10 years of experience in WASH Sector.? Bachelors degree (Masters preferred).
