Training & Internship Specialist

Job Description

Training & Internship Specialists overall responsibility is to overlook the practicum and internship experiences made available to College of Education students. The candidate would work within the Field Experience Unit at the Office of Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. These are the expected roles, responsibilities, and tasks that need to be fulfilled by the specialist: . Assisting in tasks delivery within the Office . Coordinate activities of the Office as needed. . Assisting Academic advisors in the Consulting Unit during the Registration period . Communicate with the Admission and Registration Department. . Communicate with the faculty and staff of Departments In the college as well as in other Colleges. . Responding to Student inquiries. . Organizing and following up the matters with regards to the Deans office . Supervising and organizing events in the Office. . Send advertisements for Studies. . Organizing appointments. . Prepare correspondence, reports or other documents from rough drafts prepare agendas, meeting materials. . Prepare and/or circulate notices, policies and procedures and other documentation requiring application of a specialized knowledge. . Assisting practicum coordinator in the Field Experience Office on the administrative work. . Liaise with schools and other strategic partners with regards to partnership and understandings. . Oversee student placement in schools by liaising with private schools, MOE and ESE. . Coordinate with Student Teaching Instructors with regards to vists and other . related matters. . Coordinate workshops for internship students. . Help oversee the progress report and business plan pertinent to the Office of Assistant Dean for Student Affairs-CEDU. . Liaise with the Quality Assurance Team with regards to office-related data and reports . Screen the list of students who meet the Field experience & early practicum conditions and communicate with them to submit their papers for internship. . Oversee students submitted papers for field experience. . Sort the list and distributing students to partnering schools and institutions, by liaising with stakeholders. . Conduct orientation meetings with field experience students about their practicum. . Conduct meetings with academic supervisors at the beginning of the semester to discuss the followed procedures for following up with students during the semester. . Provide transportation and accommodation (If needed) for field experience students and work with specialized entities that provided these services at UAEU. . Collect the field experience course grades in coordination with the academic supervisors. . Oversee students attendances in the field experience and update faculty members. . Any other tasks delegated to employee by direct supervisor. Additionally, the candidate would internally communicate and liaise with other departments and offices at the College, including but not limited to, The Deans office, the Deans assistants, departments Chair, faculty, instructors and the departments secretaries. Externally, the candidate would communicate and liaise with entities such as Colleges, departments, Khadamat, Provosts office, etc. Minimum Qualification Bachelors degree or equivalent, as a minimum Preferred Qualification Masters of Business Administration MBA (Preferable)
