Job Description

You will also support operations department as and when required with opening and closing of areas, greeting and welcoming guests, and performance associate level tasks.

  • Describe points of interest around QAW to VIP groups and answer any questions, which requires learning a comprehensive history of each check point
  • To display exemplary people skills; the ability to learn, retain, and relay extensive knowledge of the QAW and UAE culture
  • Maintain and develop of comprehensive knowledge of the UAE, its emirates, culture and heritage and neighboring countries
  • Lead the delivery of the external tour guide program to ensure all external parties are trained to high standard
  • Engender a culture of positivity and teamwork within the department, across all levels
  • Ensure the correct use of Whisper systems and Multimedia self-guided tour equipment.
  • Report any needs/safety issues affecting the guests/colleagues
  • Any other related duties as assigned by the department or management
  • Handle guests concerns courteously and fairly, provide appropriate, available and achievable service recovery as needed
  • Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Engage each guest as a unique individual and listen attentively to their requests
  • Provide pricing, promotion, shows information and suggestions to guests, keeping them well informed to enhance/maximize the guest experience
  • Consistently upsell/cross-sell and promote products, activities, and services to generate additional revenue
  • Efficiently support all operational areas as and when required
  • Maintain awareness and ability to act or respond to any emergency situations while ensuring guest safety
As an ideal candidate, you will need to have:
  • Higher secondary or equivalent
  • Bachelors degree in History or Sociology
  • Completed task training/group trainer programs, or a similar course in conducting training to an individual or group
  • Minimum one year experience in delivery of Guided Tours
  • 1 year in a public speaking role
  • Possess strong leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Able and willing to entertain people
  • High level of respect and integrity
  • Arabic verbal and Written
  • Knowledge of UAE culture and Protocol?
  • PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Word
