Job Description

Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood is currently recruiting for a Technical Bid Evaluation Coordinator to strengthen our team in Dubai.The TBE Coordinator will work with cross-functional engineering team members to help respond to queries from bidders.A key requirement of the role is to correspond and communication with suppliers/bidders, relaying the requirements of the in-house multi-discipline engineering team. The TBE Coordinator should exhibit strong writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to generate creative ideas while working both independently and collaboratively. The successful candidate is expected to be a self-starter, multitasker who works well under pressure, and follows through on tasks. We are looking for a strong team member who leads by example and keeps the team informed of changes.Maintain TQ/TBE trackers to ensure accurate recording of decisions made and ensure good visibility on the status of each line item being procured at any given point in time.Responsibilities:

  • Support the procurement expediting team as required including but not limited to the following:
  • In depth focus on MR?s and TBE?s ? analysing, reporting, attending relevant meetings
  • Continuously incorporating any lessons learnt previously to ensure item being procured meets engineering requirerments (using the support of a multi-dicipline engineering teams) and to avoid delays to delivery times.
  • Review and provide feedback to Material Requistions being prepared by the multi-dicipline engineering team. Items being procured can range from standard bulk items to more specialized engineering items and bespoke equipment packages.
  • Ensure bidders fully comply with client requirements (e.g. any deviations to client specications correctly highlighted and documented etc.).
  • Review and provide input to client for any pre-qualification criteria provided.
  • Strict adherence to both company and client Project Procedures.
  • Action Management ? all key actions are to be registered, assigned and tracked within the action tracking system.
  • Client communication ? from the offset of the work order work closely with the client to understand their requirements, meeting frequency and communication links to bring a harmonious working relationship.
Working relashinships:
  • The TBE Coordinator will work with cross-functional engineering team members to help respond to queries from bidders.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Degree qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years project engineering experience in the oil and gas industries.
  • In depth experience of dealing with MR?s and TBE?s ? analysing, reporting, attending relevant meetings etc.
  • The candidate should manage a time-bounded multi-profile role with the ability to work on different projects simultaneously.
  • The candidate must have good knowledge of operating Excel and creating PowerPoint presentations.
  • At least 3 years experience in a project management role.
  • Excellent Oral and Written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-conscious, results-driven environment.
