To monitor demand, supply planning, warehousing and distribution of all Emirates inflight stock and on-board retail items across the network to ensure optimum availability of stock and a cost efficient operation, through liaisons with internal stakeholders and external service providers. Job Outline: - Develop and implement supply chain systems & procedures to plan, execute and monitor the supply chain & logistics for all items used inflight. - Lead, develop and implement robust processes to forecast demand, plan supply, new product launches, warehousing and distribution of all Emirates inflight catering & retail stock used on-board flights for each service provider across the network, and continuity plans in case of any disruptions. - Develop systematic processes, implement and monitor stock management and distribution strategies by ensuring international trends and best practices are assessed to continually improve the Supply Chain Operation Research (SCOR) Card Metrics. - Develop control tower systems to manage the subcontracted warehousing and distribution activities network wide to ensure products delivered are to the agreed specifications. - Manage the holding, reporting & replenishment of inventories across warehouses, caterers and cabin cleaners through the contracted 4PL Service Providers. - Define clear processes and KPI?s to performance manage 3&4PL suppliers performance and implement corrective actions. Implement remedies to ensure supplier Supply Chain Performance is delivered to plan and continuous improvements are made. - Prepare and recommend financial year budgets for the purchase of catering capital equipment, stock purchases, obsolete stock write-offs and logistics cost to meet operational requirements. Report performance on these costs on a monthly basis so corrective action can be timely. - Develop and drive changes to the Supply Chain & Logistics Management applications to deliver efficiency, automation, optimisation and connectivity to drive improvements to performance and reduction to cost. - Monitor and benchmark external best practises for implementation through service providers for a robust supply chain process. Manage and build relationships with service providers to ensure efficient movement of catering stocks, best logistics techniques are adopted and requisite Service Level Agreements are met. - Lead and manage the team to ensure they are developed and have the appropriate skill set and knowledge base to confidently apply to the job. Guide and develop the team with the necessary skills through one to one meetings, coaching and performance reviews.
