The SchoolUniversal American School is a PreK-12 US curriculum and IB World? school offering the IBPYP in the elementary, a tailored programme in the middle school based on AERO and NGSS, and a choice of the IBDP, AP/AP Capstone or US High School Diploma pathways at the top end of the school. Universal American School is accredited by the Middle States Association Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS), the International Baccalaureate (IB) and operates under the local regulator in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).   1. Enthuse, excite and pique curiosity whilst maintaining rigour and academic focus
  2. Challenge students, each at a level appropriate to their ability, whilst maintaining high expectations of all at all times
  3. Deliver outstanding lessons by ensuring, day in and day out, that ALL students are making rapid and sustained progress
  4. Collect data and use it meaningfully to inform their planning and instruction
  5. Use technology meaningfully and transformatively (ideally in an iOS environment)
  6. Be part of an exciting journey towards uncompromising excellence.
In addition to the above, the successful applicant will be required to have the following:? A BEd or a bachelor degree with a recognized post-graduate teaching qualification? IB-approved PYP training (desired), or an interest in/knowledge of inquiry-based instruction? Relevant classroom experience of 3 years or more (applicants who do not meet this requirement might still be considered depending on the strength of their application)?
