Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to perform difficult and sometimes complex inspection tasks.What Youll Be Doing

  • Inspects site conditions to ensure suitability for the designed permanent works.
  • Gives practical advice on constructional matters.
  • Inspects construction, including temporary, works to ensure compliance with approved methods and contract requirements.
  • Interfaces with client and contractors staff to determine and verify project requirements.
  • Prepares and maintains inspection reports and site records.
  • Performs civil and structural tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, bolt torques and concrete coring.
  • Provides general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
  • Verifies equipment alignment and balancing operations.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills Youll Bring
  • Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/College.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection of roads, bridges, underpass and pumping stations for a large construction project.
  • Knowledge and experience using computer software (AutoCAD, MS Office package).
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment.

  • UAE/Dubai work experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently.
