Responsibilities include:•Providing prenatal care to high-risk infants•Providing nutritional support to infants•Performing various medical procedures to ensure the health of an infant.•Diagnosing and treating newborns with conditions they may be suffering from.•Coordinating medical care for newborns with health complications.•Dealing with high-risk neonatal situations that are not handled by a pediatrician.•Consulting with the obstetrician if health challenges facing the infant are identified prior to birth.•Ensuring children receive proper nutrition to ensure proper growth•Stabilizing and treating newborns with critical health status.
